Solicitors,
barristers and accountants can save time and money and still get
CPD/CPE hours without the hassle and expense of travel and overnight
stays. With the use of a projector you can also broadcast the lecture
to all your staff at the same time from a single PC.
CPD
hours
- Solicitors
are required by the Law Society to attend 15 hours of professional
development training. All our lectures qualify for CPD hours for
solicitors.
- Solicitors
can earn up to 75% (or 12 hours of their CPD hours requirement)
by attending our live online law training courses or recordings
(on
CD or DVD).
- Barristers
- We are accredited by the Bar Council and barristers
can "earn" all their 12 hours of their barrister training
CPE hours professional development quota by attending our live
online courses or recordings of our courses (on
CDs or DVDs). All our courses are listed on the bar
council education website and are eligible for barrister education
cpe.
- Accountants
- how about an accountant training course online? If members of
the ICAEW consider that any of our courses qualify as structured
CPE within the Institute's guidelines for accountants they may
count the number of hours X 3 towards meeting their accountancy
CPE points requirements whether the course be live and over the
internet or on CD or DVD.
Courses
-
All
lectures are presented by solicitors, barristers and experts
from other fields such as Tax specialists. We are pleased
to be working with some of the country's top law specialists
such as Gill Steel of Law Skills Ltd, Tessa Shepperson,
(editor of Landlord
Law website) and Martin Coulter (editor of Estate
Plans website)
- Lectures
may include such topics as landlord law, inheritance tax law (iht
planning), probate law, wills and probate, elderly law, immigration
law etc and we are adding all the time.
Your
Own in house professional and staff development courses
- You
can also run your own CPD courses for your in house training course
using our virtual classroom. This
is an excellent way of providing online lectures and training
to all of you staff at a fraction of the cost where travel and
hotel expenses have to be paid. Considering also the savings on
time it is a most cost effective way of training staff.
How do I access the my online course?
- You
access the courses through your home or office PC (with Internet
access) and do not require any specialist video conferencing equipment
or an additional phone line for the sound.
The
virtual classroom provides elearning facilities for the speaker
to:
Present
using Power Point slides
Give
live audio and commentary
Make
seminars lively and interactive using multiple choice questions,
text messaging, websites, software applications, evaluations etc
Annotate
slides
Use
an interactive whiteboard
Take
live spoken and written questions from delegates
The
virtual classroom enables solicitors and barristers to:
Ask
questions using a microphone and/or text messaging
Network
and discuss with fellow delegates using text messaging
Attend
the lecture from home or the office
Re-visit
the lecture later on by watching the recording
Project
the lecture to a group of your colleagues from a single PC
Why
not book a private lecture with a speaker
of your choice (from anywhere in the world) for your office or chambers.
